An oil tanker called the Stena Impuro is travelling through the persian gulf. On July 19th 2019 the oil tanker was on its way to Saudi Arabia, when it received a radio message from Iranian navel forces. The message said: “if you obey, you will be safe. Alter your course to 360 degrees immediately.” Later on, the Stena Impure was dramatically ceased.
Using speedboats and helicopters, Iran’s missionary guards took control of the tanker, and took it to a Iranian port. But the Stena Impuro wasn’t alone. Several oil tankers had run into trouble in recent months.
If you plot all these incidents with oil tankers and Iran involved, you will see a narrow ocean passage between, the Strait Of Hormuz. Dozens of oil tankers pass through the strait daily, each tanker carrying up to 84 million gallons of oil. That flow of oil represents more than 20% of oil supply. Even former prime ministers of Iran called the passage “The Jugular Of Global Economy.”
But really, why are the USA and Iran fighting over that tiny passage? The Strait Of Hormuz rests between Iran and Oman. It connects the Persian Gulf to The Gulf Of Hormuz and it eventually leads to the Arabian Sea, if any oil tankers get affected on this route, no matter where the oil tanker route is, the oil price will rise. That is why Iran and the USA had a rivalry. Because of the Strait Of Hormuz.
